Sri Balaji Institute of Surgery, Research and Rehabilitation for the Disabled (BIRRD) Trust is a premier medical institute, that treat patients suffering from polio mellitus, cerebral palsy, congenital anomalies, spinal injuries, and the orthopedically handicapped. It comprises and centrally air-conditioned hospital with the latest medical equipment.
BIRRD makes used of state-of-the-art medical technology and provides services to the poor, at no cost. It also distributes artificial limbs, calipers and aids, free of cost, to the needy and the poor. Food and medicines are supplied free of cost.
TTD accepts generous contributions from the philanthropists to this reputed medical institute, to meet the expenses of inpatients undergoing medication in the BIRRD.
On normal days, about 18 hours are allotted for Sarvadarsanam and on peak days, it is open for 20 hours.
The entrance for this darshan is through the Vaikuntam Queue Complex. The complex is a series of inter-connected halls that leads to the main temple.
An efficient queue system ensures that pilgrims move in an orderly fashion through the Queue Complex, towards the main temple.
