Lord Sri Venkateswara did it

In Sri Venkatachala Mahathyam Lord Brahma became a cow, Lord Siva became a Calf and Sri Lakshmi became a Yadava maid and both the cow and calf were sold to Chola king by Sri Lakshmi in a bid to provide milk to meditating Srinivasa in Venkatachalam. There also He protected the cow from the curse of its herdsman.

Overview

Sri Venkateswara Gosamrakshana Trust is established for protecting the cow and emphasizing the spiritual importance of the cow apart from its economic aspect. The divine cow protects the universe by embodying the deities, Gods and Goddesses of Hindu Religion. Since the ancient time cows role in Agricultural and Human Health has been appreciated, scientific knowledge base confirms the ancient’s understanding. It is time to take firm action to educate or re-educate people / society about the role of cow in Agriculture / animal Health care and Human Health, besides ecological significance.

Further, TTD has initiated Gosamrakshana and cow wealth development activities in large scale, by establishing an extension unit of S.V.Gosamrakshana Shala and named as Sri Venkateswara Gosamrakshana Research Centre aimed as model centre of excellence for cow wealth development to be developed as a role model for emulation by rest of the humanity at large and be the torch bearer in generating and leading the enlightened public opinion on the wisdom for realigning the society policies and approaches in favour of sacred cow.

The S.V.Gosamrakshana Shala, TTD., Tirupati supplies milk and curd to all the TTD Temples for rituals, Prasadams. Abhishekhams etc., and to the service institutions like S.V.Balamandir (Orphanage), S.V.Deaf and Dumb School, S.V.Training Centre for Physically handicapped, S.V.Poor Home (Leprosy Hospital), S.V.Vedapatasala, S.V.Oriental College Hostel, TTD. Hospitals, “Annadanam” Scheme of TTD and Educational Instituions of TTD.

You can do it: Sri Venkateswara Gosamrakshana Trust gives an opportunity for the public to participate in discharging this pious and sacred activity of Gosamrakshana / Cow Wealth Development Activities with their donations.

DONATION AMOUNT

The minimum contribution for the Trust is Rs.1,000/-. Donations amount sent below Rs.1,000/- will also be credited to the account of Trust, but without any intimation to the donor. All donations are deposited in a Nationalized Bank and the interest earned is utilized for the activities of the Trust.

Donations can be made by way of cheque / Demand Draft / FDR on any Scheduled Bank drawn in favour of the “Executive Officer, Sri Venkateswara Gosamrakshana Trust, TTD., Tirupati” and can be sent to “The Director, S.V.Gosamrakshana Shala, Chandragiri Road, TTD., Tirupati-517 502, Andhra Pradesh, India.

Individuals, firms, companies etc. can make donations, and they are eligible for Income Tax benefit under Section 80 G of the Indian Income Tax Act.

 

Uniform Privileges:

Donor of Rs.10 lakhs and above:

  • The Donor and his family (not exceeding five) may be provided free accommodation for 3 days in a year in VIP suite having tariff value of Rs.500/- or as changed tariff value as applicable for the said accommodation from time to time by TTD subject to availability.
  • The Donor and his family (not exceeding five) may be admitted for Break / Begining for 3 days in a year except on Friday , Saturday , Sunday and festival days , subject to availability on free of cost..
  • Twenty small laddus will be issued to the Donor as prasadam once in a year during the visit of Donor.
  • One Duppatta and Blouse Piece will be presented to the Donor as “Bahumanam” once in a year during the visit of donor.
  • One Gold dollar of 5 grams in addition to One Gold plated Silver Medallion with the image of Srivaru and Goddess Padmavathi Devi will be given at the time of Donor’s first visit only.
  • These privileges may be extended during the lifetime of the Donor in case of individuals and for 20 years in case of firms, companies and Joint Donors.
  • Income Tax benefit as applicable for the said scheme is available.
  • Ten Mahaprasadam packets will be issued to the Donor as prasadam once in a year during the visit of Donor.

Donor of Rs.5 lakhs and below 10 lakhs:

  • The Donor and his family (not exceeding five) may be provided free accommodation for 3 days in ARP counter in a year or in VIP accommodation on payment basis subject to availability.
  • The Donor and his family (not exceeding five) may be admitted for Darsan through Seeghra Darshan in Vaikuntam Q Complex for 3 days in a year subject to availability.
  • Ten small laddus will be issued to the Donor as prasadam once in a year during the visit of Donor.
  • One Duppatta and Blouse Piece will be presented to the Donor as “Bahumanam” once in a year during the visit of donor.
  • One Gold plated Silver Medallion with the image of Srivaru and Goddess Padmavathi Devi will be given at the time of Donor’s first visit only.
  • These privileges may be extended during the lifetime of the Donor in case of individuals and for 20 years in case of firms, companies and Joint Donors.
  • Income Tax benefit as applicable for the said scheme is available.
  • Five Mahaprasadam packets will be issued to the Donor as prasadam once in a year during the visit of Donor

Donor of Rs.1 lakh and below 5 lakhs:

  • The Donor and his family (not exceeding five) will be provided free accommodation for 1 day in ARP counter in a year or in VIP accommodation on payment basis subject to availability.
  • The Donor and his family (not exceeding five) will be admitted for Darsan through Cellar in Vaikuntam Q Complex for 1 day in a year subject to availability.
  • Six small laddus will be issued to the Donor as prasadam once in a year during the visit of Donor.
  • One Duppatta and Blouse Piece will be presented to the Donor as “Bahumanam” once in a year during the visit of donor.
  • These privileges will be extended during the lifetime of the Donor in case of individuals and for 20 years in case of firms, companies and Joint Donors.
  • Income Tax benefit as applicable for the said scheme is available.

Special Privileges:

Donor of Rs.5 lakhs and above:

  • 5 liters of Cow’s Milk will be supplied for Swami Vari Ksheerabhishekam in the name of the donor on one fixed Friday.
  • Donor’s name will be displayed in Sri Venkateswara Gosamrakshana Shala, TTD., Tirupati.
  • Donors will be honoured on one Gokulastami day during ‘Gopooja’ celebration in S.V.Gosamrakshana Shala, TTD., Tirupati with advanced intimation. They will be invited on every Gokulastami day to attend for Gopooja.

Donor of Rs.1 lakh and below Rs.5 lakhs:

  • One liters of Cow’s Milk will be supplied for Swami Vari Ksheerabhishekam in the name of the donor on one fixed Friday.
  • Donor’s name will be displayed in Sri Venkateswara Gosamrakshana Shala, TTD., Tirupati.
  • Donors will be honoured on one Gokulastami day during ‘Gopooja’ celebration in S.V.Gosamrakshana Shala, TTD., Tirupati with advanced intimation. They will be invited on every Gokulastami day to attend for Gopooja.

Note:

Donors donating Rs. 1 lakh and above are requested to send two copies of self Photograph, furnish date of birth of Donor and Particulars of family members(4 Persons), such as name; relationship and age, for issuing Donor pass Books to avail privileges.
